The goal of the infiles Project is the creation of a database and set of guidelines and regulations concerning infiltration indexes in Spanish residential buildings, following parameters such as construction year, typology, constructive solutions...so
that an evaluation procedure on energy consumption excess is established, and can serve as a guide for construction professionals, both in refurbishing and new building design and quality control.
Thus, said database will mend the enormous normative void existing in Spain in this field, and will make it rise to the standards of the rest of European countries, already having their own rules and estimates.
In order to establish a database precise and ample enough, a number of test are required both abiding by population and typology; thus, in the total of national territory approximately four hundred tests are required.
In addition, both pros and cons of the diverse constructive systems and carpentries will be studied, as a solutions catalog.
